On Sunday November 25, 2012, The Akwesasne Boys and Girls Club held their Kids Annual Christmas Party at the St. Regis Recreation. The community event provided pizza and beverages and also popcorn given out by the volunteers. The Christmas Party included a talent show, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus and face painting. Many of the kids sang for the talent show and showed tremendous spirit throughout the occasion. The DJ played Christmas songs and kids showed they were having a great time....
On Nov. 13 Akwesasne native Teiohontathe Fallan Davis’ human rights tribunal began. Six years after the CBSA incident, she gets another shot. She had her first tribunal hearing in March 2011, but it got dismissed after a member dropped out. Teiohontathe Fallan Davis is a community member from Akwesasne who like many have to travel through the Canadian and American borders.
