Akwesasne boys and girls have accomplished gold medals for 14U girls Volleyball, 17U girls Volleyball and 17U girls High Jump, silver in 14U Boys basketball, boys 100m dash, 200m dash, 400m & long jump, and bronze in 14U girls Ping pong, 17U Javelin and 14U shot put. Akwesasne Soaring Eagles 50+ team participated in the Masters Volleyball National championships in Ottawa this past weekend, May 4th -May 6th, They place third overall after the Round Robin play, and then in the double limitation. Moxies of Ottawa defeated them 25-17; 25-23, and Akwesasne could only take one from Cambridge, who defeated them in a fight to go on to Bronze.
