The genre of this book is a little different from what I’m used to reading but I think that’s why I thought it was so good. I would use one word to describe this book: Interesting. This is the only book that I have read that is written in what seems to be a monolog format. Anderson writes the characters thoughts, what she is feeling and thinking. It may seem strange but in my opinion that’s what makes it good. Melinda Sordino is a freshman in high-school, but what she has been through is anything but a normal 14 year-old girl’s experience.
