The Seaway Valley Rapids Minor Bantam AA won the Pickering Invitational Tournament which took place November 7 – 9, 2008. In the round robin action, the Rapids defeated Mississauga 4-2, Clarington 6-1 and tied Markham 3-3. This placed the team first in their pool and set up a semifinal match with Stratford.
