WPBS Television of Watertown made it possible for “Curious George” to visit some local libraries to promote youth reading. George was created by Margaret and H.A. Rey. He appeared in 1941 with a tale of his capture in Africa by the man with the Yellow Hat who takes him on a ship to the “big city” where he will live in a zoo.
