    The Snake Island Muskies dropped their 2015 record to 5-4 after losing to the Ottawa Axemen on Sunday, June 28. The Axemen led 3-1 after the first period, then outscored 7-2 in the middle stanza, working their way to a 14-5 win. Joe Hall led the Muskies offense with three goals and an assist.     A former Massena man is now a part of NHL history, having earned the right for his name to be engraved on the coveted Stanley Cup as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks coaching staff.     The Snake Island Muskies picked up a pair of road wins in their last two contests, winning over the Kahnawake Tomahawks and Vermont Voyageurs. On Friday, June 19, they picked up a road win over Kahnawake.     After taking an easy win over the Tyendinaga Wolfpack, the Snake Island Muskies got shut down by the Capital Axemen in an overtime decision. The Muskies now hold the median record of all Quebec Senior B teams, 3-3. On Sunday, June 7, the Muskies cruised to a 10-2 lead over the Wolfpack after 20 minutes, increasing that to 18-3 at the end of the second stanza.     With an entire day of continuous rain, Mohawk International Raceway officials canceled the program on Friday, June 12, which included the second round of the Frenchie’s Ford Drive One Sportsman Series.     Massena had its premier season as part of SVA (Stamford Volleyball Association), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting volleyball for the 2014-2015 season. The season started in December and ran through the end of April. SVA club was a combination of girls from St. Lawrence, Franklin, and Clinton counties.
