Three Nations Senior Lacrosse League

Submitted by Rusty Doxtdator, Commissioner, Three Nations Sr. Lacrosse League

The Three Nations Senior Lacrosse League (TNSLL) is gearing up for another season of senior lacrosse for the upcoming summer with high expectations of competitive play and growth. The 2014 season of the senior lacrosse league marks its 20th season of operations and the league governors have accepted a new entry into the loop. League Commissioner Rusty Doxtdator is pleased to announce the return of Tynedinega Wolfpack to the league, "The Wolfpack has dedicated leadership and this was an opportunity for growth, a move we are very excited about. I wish to congratulate the community of Tynedinega, this is a very positive milestone and I wish them the best of luck", said Doxtdator who enters his third year as the leagues leader.

The TNSLL competition was down to a minimal three teams in the last season and with a few communities expressing interest after the 2013 play-offs, the league Commissioner focused on the potential expansion. "As a league, we decided unanimously that we should prioritize the growth and development and we will offer as much help as we can to help new entries" added Commissioner Doxtdator.

In the past five years, the Three Nations league has worked jointly with the Quebec Senior Lacrosse league by having interlocking league play. This endeavor allowed for additional games and a change of scenery amongst both leagues however, the crossover games will not occur this coming season. According to the league Commissioner, it was a decision by the participating teams and while he appreciated working with the Quebec league the absence of the crossovers allows for more concentration for expansion. "The inter-league play was a good initiative on the part of both leagues but it appears as though we can both move forward without any harm to either league" said Doxtdator. The TNSLL will begin league games in early May and hope to put on a pre-season open tournament towards the end of April.

Tyendinega WolfPack will play their home games in Deseronto as they have the opportunity to host the Cornwall Island Redmen, Caughnawaga Indians and the Snake Island Muskies this summer.

The Three Nations Senior Lacrosse League would also like to present our recently generated league logo. To describe our logo, starting to the left, the left half of a red Maple Leaf, on the right, the right half of a Star that is blue with red and white strips, in the Middle, the Tree of Peace as depicted from our 5 Nations Logo, then in the tree, like the heart, ole time crossed lacrosse sticks, all encircled by the words Three Nations Senior Lacrosse League, three times in purple. This logo covers the image of the Three Nations Senior Lacrosse League.

We'll see you in the arena this summer.
